The Massapequa community is mourning the tragic death of Haley Singh, a beloved Long Island teenager who passed away last weekend in what has been described as a heartbreaking case of suicide. Haley, remembered for her warmth, compassion, and bright spirit, was a sophomore at St. Anthony’s High School and a proud graduate of St. Rose of Lima School, Class of 2024.

The news of her passing has left both school communities — and all who knew her — in deep grief.

A Cherished Member of Two School Families
In an emotional statement shared by St. Rose of Lima School, where Haley spent her formative years, faculty and staff reflected on the profound impact she made during her time there.

“Our hearts are broken today as we share the news of the passing of Haley Singh, a beloved member of our community, SROL Class of 2024 and a Sophomore at St. Anthony’s High School,” the school wrote. “We will forever cherish the light and spirit Haley brought to our school. Her impact on her classmates, teachers, and the entire SROL Family will never be forgotten.”

The message concluded with a call for compassion and prayer:

“We are sending all our love and deepest condolences to her family during this unbelievably difficult time. Please keep Haley and her loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.”

A School Community in Mourning
At St. Anthony’s High School, where Haley was in her second year, the Friar community also came together in shared mourning.

“Please pray for the repose of the soul of Sophomore Haley Singh,” the school announced. “Today we mourn as a school community and remember the lasting impact Haley will have on her classmates, her teachers, and the entire Friar Family.”

The message concluded with a prayer:
